Technical skills research, development and standards formulation

Under the framework of the BRICS Skills Group, the BRICS Skills Standardization Working Committee was established to promote curriculum development and group standards formulation, implement the "Skills Passport" program, and form the BRICS skills certification system. 

Conduct research on emerging and transformational skills for the next decade, focusing on seven modules: Manufacturing Engineering Technology; Engineering Construction Technology, Infrastructure; Transportation and Logistics; Social and Personal Services; Information and Communication Technology, Digital Technology; Creative Arts, Design and Fashion; Agriculture and Ecology.

International technical skills training and talent platform construction

Training by competition, and holding the BRICS Skills Competition, Belt & Road and the BRICS Skills Development and Technology Innovation Competition, organizing online Training Camp for future skills, and improving the mechanism of combining remote competition and training.

To establish the BRICS future skills training bases for the common use of the BRICS countries, and rely on the training bases to organize training camps and carry out joint training in a combined online and offline mode; use the training bases as the distributed competition venues and organize remote competitions.

International cooperative research, technology exchange

To establish a long-term mechanism for BRICS Remote Auditorium of Skills Development and Technology Innovation, and carry out theoretical and technical seminars and skills training with the theme of intelligent manufacturing technology skills, artificial intelligence, digital technology skills and future technology skills at the core of Industry 4.0.

Research achievements  transformation, incubation and exhibition display

The Academy has set up an Innovation Incubation Center to provide software and hardware environment support and services for BRICS entrepreneurs, winners of BRICS competitions and young makers; it has also set up a Future Technology Exhibition and Experience Center to introduce domestic advanced technology products to the Belt & Road and BRICS countries.

Through a series of achievement transformation and incubation activities to achieve the combination of production, competition, learning and research, committed to the key technology application research and development, excellent projects settlements in Xiamen, facilitate Xiamen’s local economic construction, and offer service to the development of the Belt & Road and BRICS countries.

Technical skills consulting services

The Academy established the BRICS Resource Service Center to help enterprises and institutions from BRICS countries and other emerging markets and developing countries to "go out" and "come in".

As an important international cooperation project introduced by the BRICS New Industrial Revolution Partnership Innovation Base, the Academy has played an active role in deepening exchanges and cooperation among BRICS countries, and continues to contribute to the training of talents, technological progress, industrial upgrading and economic development of BRICS countries and other emerging markets and developing countries.
