Project outcomes

1 Technical skills research, development and standards formulation

1.1 Active participation in the work of the BRICS Skills Standardization Working Committee, and continuous carrying out curriculum development and group standard formulation work in the skills field with BRICS countries.

1.2 Development of the first draft of group standards for 28 events of the 2022 BRICS Skills Competition.

1.3 As the secretariat unit of Technical Committee 2 on BRICS Technology and Skills of Standardization Administration in Xiamen, China, to organize and carry out the relevant work.




2 International technical skills training

2.1 Training by competion, and holding BRICS Skills Competition

2.1.1 As the executive organizer, the BRICS Academy of Skills Development and Technology Innovation(Xiamen) successfully held the 2022 BRICS Skills Competition kickoff event (3 events) from May 23rd to 28th, with nearly 200 participating teams, over 600 experts and competitors from the BRICS countries participating; from November 1st to 6th in 2022, we hosted the final of 2022 BRICS Skills Competition and Xiamen International Skills Development and Technology Innovation Competition, totaling 34 events. 3585 international teams from countries such as Brazil, Russia, India, South Africa, Ghana, Nigeria, Myanmar, Zimbabwe, and 6282 domestic teams from 31 provinces in China have signed up for the competition, with nearly 20,000 participants.



2.1.2 At the invitation of the Skills Development Working Group of the BRICS Business Council (Russia), as the executive organizer on the China side, the Academy organized the following skills competitions:

2022 (Russia) Asia-Pacific Best Practice Marathon and Online International Competition

2022 BRICS + Eurasian Skills Competition - Digital and Hybrid Eurasian Competition and AgroSkills Challenge

2022 Russia HI-TECH International Industry Competition


2.2 Construction of BRICS Future Skills Training Bases

2.2.1 In 2020, China Center for International People-to-People Exchange of the Ministry of Education and International Alliance of Skills Development jointly implement the "Future Technical Skills and People-to-people Exchange Talents in BRICS Countries". By the end of 2022, a total of 84 training bases has be established. We will continue to promote the licensed bases to organize training camps, skill competitions and joint training by combining online and offline modes; and to contribute to the formulation of international group standards and curriculum development.


2.3 International Training

2.3.1 In the 2022 BRICS Skills Competition (Kick-off Stage) International Training Camp, 55 foreign teams from BRICS countries and 120 domestic teams with over 400 experts and competitors participated in the training.

2.3.2 Nearly 4,000 participating experts and competitors from Brazil, Russia, India, South Africa, Belarus, Ghana, Nigeria, Myanmar and Zimbabwe participated in the International Training Camp of 2022 BRICS Skills Competition Final, with a total training duration of 335 hours.

International cooperative research and technological exchange

To carry out the BRICS Remote Auditorium of Skills Development and Technology Innovation

3.1 On April 7, 2022, the first session of the BRICS Auditorium - Big Data Assisted Precise Epidemic Prevention and Talent Training Forum.


3.2 On July 5, 2022, the second session of the BRICS Auditorium -2022 BRICS Virtual Simulation Technologies and Its Application Forum.




3.3 On September 22, 2022, the third session of the BRICS Auditorium- International Development of Fishery Skills Forum.



3.4 On March 3, 2023, the fourth session of BRICS Auditorium - Forum on Industrial Internet and Digital transformation of Manufacturing Industry.
