From November 29th to December 1st, Belt & Road and BRICS Auditorium of Skills Development and Technology Innovation -- "International Literacy Enhancement and Innovative Development Seminar for Teachers & Teaching Competency Training Workshop" was successfully held in BRICS Academy of Skills Development and Technology Innovation(Xiamen). The seminar and training aimed to further enhance teachers' international literacy and strengthen their adaptability and competitiveness in the global educational environment. Participants included faculty members from vocational colleges across the country and senior experts.
Dr. Liu Zhenying, President of the International Alliance of Skills Development for Belt & Road and BRICS, Director of the Belt&Road and BRICS Skills Development and Technology Innovation Training Center under the China Association for Science and Technology, Chair of China Chapter of BRICS Business Council Skills Development, Applied Technology and Innovation Working Group, and President of BRICS Academy of Skills Development and Technology Innovation (Xiamen), delivered an online speech. In his speech, Dr. Liu Zhenying introduced the key tasks of the China Chapter of BRICS Business Council Skills Development, Applied Technology and Innovation Working Group (referred to as the "BRICS Tech-Innovation Group") for 2024. He stated: The BRICS Tech-Innovation Group focuses on skills development and technology innovation, advancing pragmatic initiatives through multidimensional international training programs. These efforts promote the alignment of education with industrial output and foster school-enterprise collaboration to support Chinese companies in "going global." The group assists leading industry enterprises in providing overseas personnel with academic education and skills training, cultivating international talents and local skilled workers urgently needed by Chinese enterprises, thereby building a distinctive "vocational education going global" brand with Chinese characteristics. By serving international production capacity cooperation, the group contributes to advancing international industry-education integration and enhancing the global influence of China's vocational education. The seminar and training session invited Professor Duan Na, Party Branch Secretary of the School of Art and Design at Guangzhou Panyu Polytechnic and leader of the first prize-winning team in the National Teaching Competence Competition; Mr. Wang Jin, second-level professor at Shaanxi Railway Engineering Vocational and Technical College and expert group leader for the competition; Mr. He Huaguo, researcher at Xiamen Institute of Educational Science, member of the Special Committee of the Informatization Teaching Guidance Committee for Vocational Education under the Ministry of Education, and national judge for the Teaching Competence Competition; Mr. Wu Dongsheng, expert from the National Expert Database for the Teaching Competence Competition of Vocational Colleges, leader of the first prize-winning team in the National Teaching Competence Competition, and recipient of the Guangdong Province Southern Guangdong Outstanding Teacher Award; and Professor Zhou Di, national science and technology expert from the Ministry of Science and Technology, and expert from the Ministry of Education, Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, Ministry of Commerce, and Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security, to conduct specialized training for participating teachers through both online and offline formats.
