Our Academy Was Approved to Establish Xiamen BRICS Technology and Skills Standardization Committee

October 11, Xiamen Municipal Market Supervision Administration issued Xiamen City Supervision Standard [2022] No. 9 document "Xiamen Municipal Market Supervision Administration on the approval of the preparatory work for the establishment of the Xiamen Municipal Housekeeping Services Standardization Technical Committee and other 7 professional standardization technical committees notice", which, Xiamen City, the future of BRICS Skills Development and Technological Innovation Research Institute approved the preparatory work for the establishment of Xiamen City, the BRICS technology and skills standardization technical committees.

At present, the state attaches great importance to standardization work, standards have a key role in improving the level of opening up and participating in international competition. Standards are the "high ground" of international economic and technological competition, and the "first move" for enterprises, industries and equipment to go abroad. We should not only make efforts to improve the level of China's standards and enhance the hard power of China's standards, but also comprehensively plan and participate in the formulation of international standardization strategies, policies and rules, so as to enhance China's institutional discourse power in global economic governance.

As the innovation base of BRICS New Industrial Revolution Partnership, Xiamen plays an important strategic role in strengthening the standardization of BRICS countries. Next, based on Xiamen and focusing on BRICS, the institute will actively prepare for the establishment of Xiamen BRICS Technology and Skills Standardization Technical Committee, vigorously promote the standardization of technology and skills in BRICS countries, and contribute to the high-quality development of BRICS countries in the key areas of intelligent manufacturing, digital economy, new industries, new business forms, new technologies and other areas of intelligence and empowerment.
