BRICS Training Camp | BRICS Skills Competition Kick-off Stage Machine Learning and Big Data International Training Camp

At 19:00 on the evening of May 15, in the eager anticipation of 49 participating groups from the BRICS countries, the online international training camp for the Machine Learning and Big Data event of the BRICS Skills Competition Kick-Off Stage was officially opened.

The event is organized by the Ministry of Education of the People's Republic of China, the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security of the People's Republic of China, the BRICS Business Council, and the Xiamen Municipal People's Government, and is undertaken by the China Education Association for International Exchanges (CEAIE), the Center for the Development of Vocational Education of the Ministry of Education (MOE), and the BRICS Business Council Skills Development Working Group, with the BRICS Academy of Skills Development and Technological Innovation (Xiamen) as the executive contractor.

Dr. Liu Zhenying, Chairman of the BRICS Business Council (China) Skills Development Working Group and President of the BRICS Academy of Skills Development and Technological Innovation(Xiamen), attended the ceremony and delivered an opening speech. He firstly greeted and welcomed the experts and competitors participating in the international training camp, and also expressed his gratitude to the technical support platform units of this kick-off competition. He emphasized that in order to deepen the international integration of industry and education and jointly promote the high-quality development of vocational education in the BRICS countries, the Skills Development Working Group of BRICS Business Council will focus on the following aspects:

First, establish a technical skills standardization working committee to implement and promote the formulation of international group standards and curriculum development for future skills in BRICS countries, so as to form a BRICS skills certification system and issue skills passports;

Promoting the construction of an international training base for BRICS future skills and establishing a joint training center for BRICS future skills on this basis;

(iii) Establishing a long-term mechanism for organizing BRICS skills development and technological innovation distance lectures, and providing soft skills training at the theoretical and technical levels by means of regular forums, seminars or thematic meetings;

IV. Conducting the Belt and Road and BRICS Skills Development and Technological Innovation Competition and the BRICS Vocational Skills Competition, and giving full play to the leading role of the Competition in the development of future skills curricula, the formulation of international group skills standards, and training and certification by perfecting the mechanism of combining distance competitions and training;

(v) Constructing the BRICS Institute for Future Skills Development and Technological Innovation and establishing the BRICS Resource Management Center.

Subsequently, experts and representatives of the participating countries and representatives of the competitors made speeches and conducted Q&A and interaction on the training camp and questions about the competition program.

This online international training camp for machine learning and big data competition lasts until May 20, a period of 6 days, opening 3 channels for simultaneous translation in Chinese, English and Russian, and we expect the contestants to actively prepare for the competition, compete for the top, and show the new style of vocational skills of the youth of BRICS countries.
