Launching Ceremony of BRICS Academy of Future Skills Development and Technology Innovation(Xiamen) was Successfully Hel

On December 4, 2021, the launching ceremony of BRICS Academy of  Future Skills Development and Technology Innovation(Xiamen) was held at the opening ceremony of Xiamen 2021 Belt and Road and BRICS Skill Development and Technology Innovation Competition Xiamen Competition at Xiamen Institute of Technology (XITC), announcing that BRICS Academy of  Future Skills Development and Technology Innovation(Xiamen) was officially established.

Mr. Huang Xiaozhou, Member of the Standing Committee of Xiamen Municipal Committee, Vice Mayor, Director of Xiamen BRICS Office, Mr. Yu Huarong, Secretary of the Party Committee, Executive Vice President and Secretary General of China Invention Association, Chairman of the Chinese Skills Development Working Group of BRICS Business Council, Chairman of the Belt, Road and BRICS International Alliance for Skills Development, Director of the Belt, Road and BRICS Skills Development and Technological Innovation Training Center of CAST, and Director of the Academy. Dr. Liu Zhenying, Director of the Academy, Huang Feng, Executive Deputy Director of Xiamen BRICS Office, Zhang Binna, Chief Economist of Xiamen Torch Hi-Tech Industrial Development Zone Management Committee (Torch Committee), Lin Weiyi, Vice Mayor of Xiamen Jimei District, and Lin Rongsheng, Deputy General Manager of Xiamen Information Group, attended the event. Mr. Huang Xiaozhou, Vice Mayor of Xiamen, Mr. Liu Zhenying, President of Xiamen Information Group, Mr. Huang Feng, Deputy Director of Xiamen Information Group, Mr. Zhang Bina, Chief Economist of Xiamen Jimei District, Mr. Lin Weiyi, Vice Mayor of Xiamen Jimei District, Mr. Lin Rongsheng, Deputy General Manager of Xiamen Information Group, etc., came up to the stage to witness the establishment of the Academy, and announced that the Academy had been officially established.

BRICS Academy of  Future Skills Development and Technology Innovation(Xiamen) (hereinafter referred to as "the Academy") was established in 2021 with the joint support of the Xiamen BRICS Innovation Base Construction Leading Group Office, the Xiamen Torch Hi-Tech Industrial Development Zone Management Committee, the People's Government of Jimei District, and the Xiamen Information Group Co. The Academy aims to build an international platform for technical skills training, certification, standards harmonization, competitions, technical exchanges, talent mobility, and future skills development among BRICS countries, to help Xiamen's local economic construction, and to serve the BRICS countries in talent cultivation, technological advancement, industrial upgrading and economic development. The Academy will give full play to the advantages of the BRICS Business Council Skills Development Working Group, the Belt and Road and BRICS International Alliance for Skills Development, the International Training Base for Future Technical Skills and Humanities Exchange Talents, the Asian Welding Federation, the International Society for Intelligent Manufacturing, the China Invention Association domestic and international cooperation units in the mechanism of cooperation in the relevant countries, and other advantages, with Industry 4.0 as the core of intelligent manufacturing, artificial intelligence, Digital technology skills, future technology skills as the basis, to carry out technology skills research, development and standard development; international technology skills personnel training, talent platform construction; international cooperation research, technology exchanges; research results transformation, incubation and exhibition display; technology skills consulting services.

The construction of international training base for future technical skills and humanities exchange talents is the foundation and carrier for the implementation of the Academy's various businesses, the establishment ceremony of the Academy was also held at the international training base for future technical skills and humanities exchange talents awarding ceremony, Huang Xiaozhou, vice mayor and Liu Zhenying, president of the Guangzhou Institute of Urban Construction Vocational College, Guangzhou Institute of Engineering and Technology Vocational College, Jiangxi Metallurgical Vocational College, Xiamen Huaxia College, Sichuan Engineering Vocational and Technical College and other base units were awarded base plaques.
