Belt & Road and BRICS Skills Development International Alliance Delegation Visits Brazil for Exchange (III) – São Paulo Edition

On June 25, the Chinese delegation visited the Armando de Arruda Pereira Vocational College and "Antonio Skaf" School, both located in São Paulo, and attended the China-Brazil Green Economy Innovation Dialogue. The discussions focused on the achievements and best practices in vocational education, skills development, technological innovation, and talent cultivation between the two countries.

Mr. Osvaldo Padovah, Director of Armando de Arruda Pereira Vocational College, introduced the development history of the college, its curriculum, and the close relationships between the school and local enterprises.

Under the topic of SENAI Innovation and Technology, the Chinese delegation also listened attentively to a presentation about SENAI’s technical structure, which includes an innovation ecosystem encompassing research institutes, technology institutes, laboratory networks, Uplab (startup development space), innovation habitats, and product development centers. This full-cycle innovation ecosystem emphasizes practical research and tightly integrates academia, industry, and innovation to develop new technologies, improve industry competitiveness, and contribute to industrial modernization.

The Chinese delegation introduced the significance of the BRICS+ National Achievements Design and the successful practices of promoting international industry-education integration. This included the establishment of the BRICS Skills and Technology Standardization Working Committee, the formulation of group standards, promoting mutual recognition of standards, collaboration on future skills training bases to cultivate skilled talent, regularly organizing the BRICS Skills Development and Technology Innovation Forum for technical and theoretical training, using competitions as a form of training, continuing the BRICS Competitions, and advancing the construction of BRICS Institutes and Resource Service Centers.

Accompanied by Brazilian representatives, the Chinese delegation also visited the Industry 4.0 Training Center at Armando de Arruda Pereira Vocational College, where they engaged in insightful discussions.

At "Antonio Skaf" School, the Chinese delegation toured the system development, computer networking, and multimedia laboratories, as well as a modern Cyber Arena. They also visited student innovation designs and inventions and had friendly conversations with the students.

The visit concluded with a friendly table tennis match between the Chinese and Brazilian representatives, marking the end of a successful and fruitful day of exchanges!
