Xiamen Standardization Committee is mainly responsible for the city's BRICS technology and skills standardization related work, the secretariat is located in BRICS Academy of Skills Development and Technology Innovation (Xiamen) (hereinafter referred to as Academy). Relying on the BRICS Skills Standardization Working Committee of the BRICS Business Council and under the guidance and support of the Municipal Market Supervision Administration, the Academy, as the secretariat of Xiamen Gold Standard Committee, organizes and carries out standardization work in the fields of BRICS technologies and skills, focusing on manufacturing engineering technology, engineering and construction technology, infrastructure, transportation and logistics, social and personal services, information and communication technology, digital technology, creativity, art and design, agriculture and ecology, and so on. It focuses on manufacturing engineering and technology, engineering and construction technology and infrastructure, transportation and logistics, social and personal services, ICT and digital technology, creative arts and design, agriculture and ecology.
As the host city of the BRICS New Industrial Revolution Partnership Innovation Base, Xiamen plays a major strategic role in strengthening the standardization of BRICS countries. The establishment of the Xiamen Standardization Committee is an important initiative to promote the deepening of cooperation in the new industrial revolution, and plays an important role in the construction of the standard system for emerging technologies and skills in the BRICS countries, as well as in the improvement of the regional standard service capacity.
