On November 4th, a delegation including Li Zhen, Party Leadership Group Member, Deputy Director-General, and First-Level Inspector of the Department of Human Resources and Social Security of Henan Province; Yao Lei, Director of the Vocational Capacity Building Division of the Department of Human Resources and Social Security of Henan Province; and Li Peng, Director of the Organization and Personnel Department of Zhengzhou Airport Economic Zone, visited BRICS Academy of Skills Development and Technology Innovation(Xiamen) for investigation and research. The delegation was accompanied by Ma Yun, Head of the Talent Team of the Xiamen BRICS Office; Ye Yuanning, Director of the Vocational Skills Appraisal Center of the Xiamen Municipal Bureau of Human Resources and Social Security; Chen Guoyu, Director of the Vocational Skills Training and Appraisal Center of the Jimei District Bureau of Human Resources and Social Security; Lin Caiyan, Staff Member of the Talent Team of the Xiamen BRICS Office; and Huang Wenhao, Staff Member of the Torch High-Tech Zone Management Committee.
Deputy Director Li Zhen, accompanied by President Liu Zhenying of our Academy, watched the introductory video of the Academy and the BRICS Competition, listened to the work report of the Academy, and visited the Future Technology Exhibition and Experience Center of our Academy.
Subsequently, Dr. Liu Zhenying, President of our Academy, held discussions with the visiting guests. Deputy Director Li Zhen stated that the cooperation mechanism of the 2024 BRICS Leaders' Summit has achieved significant progress. Compared to coastal cities, Henan Province still has considerable room for improvement in terms of internationalization. He expressed hope to leverage the BRICS mechanism to promote international cooperation in future technical skills training for talents in Henan Province.
Dr. Liu Zhenying, President of our Academy, provided a detailed introduction to the BRICS cooperation mechanism and the various tasks carried out by the Academy under this framework. He stated that in 2024, the number of full member states of BRICS has expanded to 10 countries, with an additional 13 countries becoming BRICS partner nations. He expressed the hope that under the broader BRICS framework, the institute would provide more service support for vocational skills training and international exchange and cooperation in Henan Province.
